Just in case you were wondering - Friday's Garden Party in Oamaru Public Gardens is going ahead as scheduled!

New Talk Added
Historian and Genealogist, Sandra Cleary talks about some of the fascinating lives of the Paupers in the Northern Cemetery, Dunedin from 1873 to 1925. Her aim is to try and reconnect as many as possible with descendants today. The variety of people in these plots and what led them there may surprise you.

We’re sorry this talk won’t be going ahead, but we’re pleased to offer a replacement talk on the same day and time titled -

The Pirate King of ÅŒamaru, Fri 14 Nov - Postponed
Unfortunately, this talk has been postponed to a later date and will not run during the 2025 heritage celebrations.
Sorry for any disappointment. We aim to have an alternative presentation screening at the venue on the same day and time.
ÅŒamaru Coastal Defence Display, Fri 14 Nov only - Cancelled
The display scheduled for Friday 14 November has been cancelled.
You can still enjoy all the action on Saturday (10.00am – 5.00pm) and Sunday (10.00am – 3.00pm).
We’ll have signage on-site Friday to let visitors know about the change. And of course, don’t miss the firing of the 25-pounder at midday on both Saturday and Sunday.

Hand Trolley Racing
(Thu 13 Nov, 1–3pm)
Cheer on local teams as they race hand trolleys down the railway track for charity - or enter a team of up to four.
